Winter Wonderland
Ok, my friends are only partial liars…..
Yesterday I was wearing shorts for a mid-morning run. Today – snow! I woke up and opened my blinds, and did my usual gaze towards the Flatirons …. I did a double-take as I saw SNOW!!! Totally unexpected.
Boulder really IS crazy with the weather changes, as friends told me. Beautiful and relatively warm one day, and then it’ll be 30 and snowing the next. Crazy. I was warned of this – so friends are redeeming themselves, slightly.
Today Chris Legh was swimming in the lane next to me (there was only 1 other fool in the pool in addition to us) … in between sets we were chatting and commenting about not wanting to get out of the warm water to run to the locker rooms. I told him we’d be setting world records for speed. He got out before me and I laughed as he waved goodbye and shrieked as he BOLTED across the deck towards the building. Seeing that required a great collection of courage from me to get out of the pool.
Man, it was COLD. Thank God those showers are really hot!
Winter has arrived.
Here we go….
